I have 64-bit Windows, why can't I see the videos?
Windows x64 unfortunately comes with a second sidebar.exe program that uses IE x64 to render flash video. The only problem is that flash video doesn't exist for IE x64 so all you're left with is a blank box. There are steps that can be taken though if you feel comfortable working with the Windows registry.
This link: How to Customize Desktop Context Menu in Windows 7 will get you through the permissions needed to fix the registry key.
Key to modify: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\DesktopBackground\Shell\Gadgets\command
Change Default to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Sidebar\sidebar.exe /showGadgets
Save and restart the sidebar. This will allow Windows to load up the 32 bit sidebar in the future instead, making sure that you can watch videos using flash lovingly rendered by IE x32.
